Breathe..... So I am pulling together the finishing touches, shoes, dress, lipstick done! now I am looking at what perfume to wear and at the same time highlighting my 3 choices, which in turn might give you some ides for your own or a friends Christmas present (eek that is fast approaching too)
As soon as I smelt this a year ago I fell in love, it is, in my opinion, the most perfect perfume. BUT bear in mind we all have different tastes so what is great to me maybe too sweet or floral for someone else. It is described as "An Eau de Parfum with the noblest ingredients [Concrete of Iris Pallida, Jasmin Sambac Absolute, Orange Blossom Absolute, Patchouli Essence...] lain on a bed of fine delicacies". I just love Jasmin, when I saw this had it in I had to have a whiff and every time I do it sends me somewhere magical, I know I sound dramatic, but I have never smelt something so 'me'.
For something a little more subtle (le vie est belle maybe too strong for some) I introduce the new Boss Fragrance (the one with Gwyneth Paltrow in the pictures) This is a blend of rich white flowers, grapefruit and lime accord, followed by notes of honeysuckle, lily of the valley and creamy amber. The citrus and floral are a great combination, making it a very fresh perfume, feminine and clean and less over powering than the previous.
Ok this is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, I received this for my birthday (see post here) in April and have almost finished it I use it that much. The packaging is so quirky, the smell is lovely AND its so cheap. Again another floral/fruity perfume, but this one is more musky, quite seductive in my opinion. It contains Lotus Flower, Jasmine Petals, Starfruit, Italian Mandarin, Boysenberry, Vanilla, Carmelized Pear, Musks, Woods all make you want to smell this right? I think this is a great gift to receive, I loved it!
All 3 of these I love and wear all the time but as I say these are very me, fruity and floral. I think for a gift the latter two are great as they are more subtle, but \if buying for yourself I'd recommend smelling the Lancome, they even do a more subtle version of the Vie est Belle. For my wedding day this is my first choice, it lasts all day and then some and as I said it is very 'me'. The other too i will wear more day to day, so depending if you want a special perfume or one to wear everyday, all these are great options.
